Randall Paris Dark

Director/producer/playwright born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan in 1954; he is now a resident of the United States where he demonstrates the artistic possibilities of high definition television through his company HD Vision. Dark and his companies have been involved in over 1500 HD projects including feature films, documentaries, commercials, music videos, corporate presentations, product launches, and live events.

He studied at the University of Ottawa in theatre directing, and directed for Ariel Theatre Company (Ottawa) which he owned. Among its productions are his own works: Starboy, Running Bear, A Thirties Musical, Distemper, Fernando's Hideaway, Crander Mind). He has also directed his works for Loose Moose Theatre and Pumphouse Theatre (Calgary), Minkhollow Productions (which he also owned, Toronto) and in the United States. Among other works he has directed are Sleuth; Under the Yum Yum Tree; I Ought to Be In Pictures and Play it Again, Sam.

Randall Paris Dark is a member of Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television, Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers and of Playwrights Guild of Canada.
