Dennison, Richard

Theatre administrator and director, from Montreal Quebec, currently based in Florida. He is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada, where he studied theatre production and administration from 1965-67.

Since 1998, he has worked for Cirque du Soleil. He is currently Director of Disney Project Development and Company Manager for the Las Vegas show, LOVE. Previously he was General Manager of the Cirque show La Nouba.

He has served as Director of the Arts Awards Service of the Canada Council for the Arts, and as Cultural Affairs policy advisor for English Canada for the Minister of Communications from 1990-91.

From 1988-90 he was General Manager of the Citadel Theatre, and from 1981-88, he was Director of Production and festival producer for the Stratford Festival. He was the Director General of the National Theatre School of Canada from 1978-81, and worked with the National Arts Centre from 1970-77.
