Quebec-based character actor and singer, born June 6, 1950.

She has performed in film and in fifteen television series, and on stage in fifty plays for three decades since graduating from the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Québec in 1976. With other graduates of the Conservatoire, she founded Théâtre de la Bordée in 1976 in Quebec City.

Her timing and touching presence exploded into popularity with her moving and hilarious performances as the lead's best friend in Denise Filiatrault's 1998 film adaptation of Michel Tremblay's novel C't'à ton tour, Laura Cadieux.

She has appeared on stages across Quebec, a favourite of the summer houses as well as of Théâtre du Rideau Vert audiences (La farce de l'âge, 1990; Les Anges dans nos campagnes, 1992; La foire de la Saint-Barthélemy/Bartholomew Fair, 1994; Les Femmes savantes, 1997; Une fil à la patte, 1998; Maître Puntila et son valet Matti, March, 2000).

In 1996, she performed in Tremblay's A toi, pour toujours, ta Marie-Lou at Compagnie Jean-Duceppe; and in 2011, she appeared as Shirley Valentine in the same venue.

Her comic skills were on full display in the Juste Pour Rire production of Les Jumeaux Vénitiens/The Venetian Twins (June, 2000). In 2007, she sang and performed in her own two-hour show, Pierrette est enchantée (dir. Jacques Girard) in la Maison Théâtre. Through the words and music of songs which have touched her life, she reveals her own memories and experiences.

More recently, she appeared in La Monnaie de la pièce in 2014 at Théâtre du Vieux-Terrebonne, and Adieu je reste in 2015 at Théâtre Hector-Charland.

She was inducted as Member of the Order of Canada in 2011.
