Impressive Quebec-based character actor, who has performed in over forty productions since her graduation from Collège Lionel-Groulx in 1984. Annick Bergeron was a founding member of Théâtre de l'Opsis, and worked extensively with its director, Serge Denoncourt. For the Company she performed in A propos de Roméo et Juliette, Comédie Russe, Teatr, Tableau d'une exécution, and Je suis une mouette (non ce n'est pas ça) (1999, a co-production with Théâtre de Quat'Sous).

She has also performed in Les Estivants/Summer Folk (Théâtre du Nouveau Monde), Le Cid (Nouvelle Compagnie Théâtrale / Théâtre Denise-Pelletier), and Les Grecques (Théâtre La Chapelle, Montreal). She appeared in the Théâtre de Quat'Sous production of Le Désire de Gobi (January, 2000), the TNM's La Cerisaie/The Cherry Orchard (March, 2000) and the Jean-Luc Lagarce double-bill Les règles du savoir-vivre dans la soiété moderne & Music-hall at Espace Go (January 2001).

More recently, she has worked extensively with Wajdi Mouawad as actor and collaborator. As Nawal in Incendies, she appeared in 250 performances between its opening in 2003 and 2013. In 2015, she appeared as his older sister, Nayla in Soeurs, a two-hour solo work in which she also plays the younger sister, drawing on her own sibling experiences.

In 2012, she appeared in La Corneille by Lise Vaillancourt at Théâtre du Rideau Vert, as the daughter in a emotionally fraught relationship with her mother.

She has also had a successful career in television and teaches diction and voice at the Collège Lionel-Groulx.

Annick Bergeron's performances are marked by an electric stage presence and a willingness to transform beyond her natural loveliness. Her acting is always textured and, even in the most outrageous character roles, almost eerily natural.
