Aykroyd, Daniel (Dan) Edward
Internationally-recognized character actor born in Ontario, 1952, to a French Canadian mother and English Canadian father, a policy advisor to Pierre Eliot Trudeau.
Dan Aykroyd began his career with Second City in Toronto in 1973 before being invited to join the first cast of the popular American television show Saturday Night Live. He has since gone on to a successful film career.
In 1999, he received the Order of Canada.
