Shadowpath Theatre Productions
A professional theatre company formed in Toronto Ontario in 2002 and registered as a not-for-profit organization in 2003.
Its mandate is to inspire renewed artistic awareness within the community of York through the production of modern plays and the development of original works by new and emerging artists; to create a positive artistic environment that encourages the community to take a proactive role in cultural development; and to employ theatre professionals regardless of cultural differences. The Ontario Trillium Foundation has been a main supporter of Shadowpath.
Artistic Director, Alex Karolyi, has produced a wide range of works in the Toronto and York Regions, many in "found spaces." These include Look Back In Anger at Theatre Aurora in 2005. She has also produced a three-week new play festival called “Playwrights Of Spring,” funded by a collaborative three year grant with Theatre Aurora. This festival is the first of its kind in York Region featuring new works by playwrights from across Ontario.

Since October 2002, Athabasca University has hosted the web site, with an editorial board of theatre scholars from across Canada.

The Canadian Theatre Encyclopedia web site was originally conceived and developed in 1996 by Gaetan Charlebois—theatre critic, playwright, and actor.
