Quebec-based actor, born in 1957. She graduated from the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Montréal in 1979. She is well known for her performances in film and on television, and has been nominated three times for Genie Awards for Best Actress (1982, 1985, 1989).

Monique Spaziani has performed for Théâtre des Grandes Chênes (Ça donne des ailes, 1998); Théâtre les gens d’en bas (L'Été dernier...à Golden Pond/On Golden Pond, 1997, a co-production with National Arts Centre); Théâtre du Nouveau Monde/TNM (Les Estivants, 1997, a co-production with Théâtre du Trident); and Théâtre de Quat'Sous (Pour adultes seulement/Adult Entertainment, 1999, La charge de l'original épormyable, 1989; revived at TNM in 1990). In September, 2000, she appeared in the premiere of Reynald Robinson's Hôtel des Horizons for Théâtre Petit à Petit, directed by Claude Poissant; and in November, 2000, in L'Heureux Stratagème at Théâtre du Rideau Vert.

More recently, at Théâtre d’Aujourd’hui, Spaziani has performed in Nine (2018-19); My children are not afraid of the dark (Season 16-17); Against time (Season 11-12); Toxic (Season 10-11); and Pacific Hotel (Season 08-09). In 2021 she played Queen Marguerite in Les reines by Normand Chaurette (dir. Denis Marleau for Théâtre du Nouveau Monde).

Monique Spaziani's performances are marked by a magnificent, husky voice and an ability to lend currency to even period roles.
