Tahn, Andras

Director and playwright, Andras studied at the University of Saskatchewan. He was a co-founder of the 25th Street Theatre in 1972. As Artistic Director there (1975-80), he opened the theatre with his play, Gardens, Sketch #2 (1972), and directed his plays Covent Garden (1973), and Jakob Kepp among others.

He participated in the 25th Street Theatre collective creation of Paper Wheat (1977), which toured across Canada. His other plays include: and Twentieth Century Jig (co-author) for Theatre Network (1980), which he also directed.

Andras Tahn was briefly consulting Artistic Director for Theatre Network for the 1980/81 season.

He has been a newspaper reporter, and has taught drama at St. Therese College in Bruno, Saskatchewan. In 2008, he was Executive Director of the College.
