Blackmore Brothers

John and William Blackmore, Nova Scotia-based set-builders closely associated to the entire history of the Neptune Theatre until their deaths in 1990.

Both worked on the company's first production, GB Shaw's Major Barbara, and continued to work on every set for the company.

John died the day he completed work on the set of Anything Goes, his brother followed several months later.

In tribute, Neptune Theatre Foundation created the Blackmore Bursary Fund in 1991, to provide aid to students studying in the technical department of Dalhousie University's Theatre Department.
