Larry Reynolds

Veteran Ontario-based character actor.

Larry Reynolds received particular attention for his performance as William Lyon Mackenzie King in the premiere of Allan Stratton's Rexy! at Toronto's Phoenix Theatre in March 1981. Critic, Mark Czarnecki, lauded his performance in Maclean's Magazine: "The former prime minister’s diaries have provided copious material for Stratton’s portrait of this vain, repressed, lonely politician and Larry Reynolds conveys these qualities perfectly, pomposity and despair alternately strobing across his dry, sinewy features." (archive.macleans.ca).

Reynolds also appeared in David French's One Crack Out, and in the premiere production of Judith Thompson's White Biting Dog (both at Tarragon Theatre).

He has performed at the Civic Theatre and the St. Lawrence Centre among others venues.
