Actor and stuntman, Malcolm Xerxes was born on January 31, 1965 in Jamaica. He was adopted as a young child by British parents and named Ian Antony Malcolm. He was educated at The Peel School of Performing Arts in its inaugural year. He died by suicide on September 13, 2005 at the age of forty in Mississauga, Ontario.

Malcolm Xerxes performed across Canada at Lunchbox Theatre (Heaven), Alberta Theatre Projects (Two Weeks with the Queen), the National Arts Centre (Jumping Mouset, Shakespeare in the Rough (Titus Andronicus), Canadian Stage (Romeo & Juliet), Manitoba Theatre For Young People (The Power of Harriet), Sudbury Fringe Festival (Dark Ages Romance), the Blyth Festival (Every Dream), A Cry of Players Equity Co-op (Hamlet), Royals & Rebels Equity Co-op (Henry IV, Pt. 1), Kingston Summer Festival (Sir John, Eh?) and as a featured player in the Young People's Theatre troupe, most notably in Oliver Twist.

He also acted in sci-fi and horror films and on television (Slings and Arrows, 2003 and 2005).
