Prolific playwright/actor/director specializing in children's theatre, born in Amqui, Quebec April 11, 1957. Jasmine Dubé graduated from the National Theatre School of Canada in 1978, and acted in Quebec theatre during the 1980s, notably in Caméléonne a one-woman show by David Lonergan; Girafes by René Richard Cyr (Théâtre Petit à Petit 1983). In 1991, she performed in Baby Blues by Carole Fréchette.

In 1986 she co-founded and became artistic director for the Théâtre Bouches Décousues and has written most of the plays for the company since -- twenty in total.

In 1992, her play Petit Monstre received the Association québécoise des critiques de théâtre award for best children's production.

Other works include: Jouons avec les livres; La Bonne Femme; Pierette Pan, ministre de l'Enfance et des produits dérivés. She also writes novels, stories and television scripts for young people.

Among her many awards and honours is the 2005 Conseil des Arts de Montréal grand prize to the Théâtre Bouches Décousues for its contribution to the vitality and development of local theatre.
