Canadian Theatre Encyclopedia
Submissions
New submissions, updates, and corrections are invited. Profiles should be brief overviews, rather than CVs, with emphasis on new works, productions, and contributions to Canadian theatre. Texts will be edited for accuracy and consistency.
Any submission of text to the Canadian Theatre Encyclopedia becomes the exclusive property of Athabasca University. Permission to copy or reproduce the texts in other venues will not, in most circumstances, be withheld.
Guidelines
Please provide the following information with all submissions:
- Name of profile
- Brief biography or history
- Major contributions to Canadian theatre, including plays, productions, performances, publications.
- Sources (if applicable)
- Photo—headshot or production photo with caption and credit line (photographer)
The submission should be about 500 words.

Since October 2002, Athabasca University has hosted the web site, with an editorial board of theatre scholars from across Canada.

The Encyclopedia collects and disseminates information on plays, playwrights and theatre practitioners. It does not respond to requests for information, auditions, bookings, or tickets.
The Canadian Theatre Encyclopedia web site was originally conceived and developed in 1996 by Gaetan Charlebois—theatre critic, playwright, and actor.
