Ray Conlogue was born in Toronto, and has lived there most of his life, with the exception of seven years he spent in Montreal. He holds a degree in English Language and Literature from St. Michael's College, and his Master's degree in the Study of Drama from the University of Toronto.
During his studies, Ray Conlogue performed in many productions at Hart House Theatre including a lead in Ibsen's Rosmersholm. In the mid-70s he reviewed theatre for CBC Radio.
He is the author of Longing for Homeland in Canada and Quebec (Mercury Press, 1996), and a young people's novel, Shen and the Treasure Fleet (2007).
