Garden City Productions

Founded in 1956, as the Operatic Society of Grantham United Church, then as Garden City Productions in 1963, it is the longest running, non-profit community theatre organization in Niagara, Ontario. Its original objectives were to establish, maintain, and operate a permanent Canadian repertory theatrical company. Garden City Productions was mandated to promote interests and skills in the arts of the theatre through the presentation of plays and other performances, and through public educational projects.

Since its inception, GCP has produced over eighty shows, with top Canadian and American directors, technical directors, costume designers, and set designers, who also serve in an educational capacity.

Garden City Productions produces two musicals a year, including premiere shows and unique revues designed for the company: Alice Adams, Happy and Glorious, Gershwin...First Person, It's De-Lovely It's DePorter, Never Let Go - A Tribute to the '50s and Just a Little Musical!.

Since the late 1990s, GCP has presented its productions in Mandeville Theatre in Ridley College. This 344 seat theatre (plus 4 wheelchair positions) features one of the best stages in the Niagara Region.
