Legault, Anne

Anne Legault

Quebec-based actor, playwright, novelist, born in Lachine in 1968, and studied at the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Montréal. Anne Legault performed in children's theatre and on television before she began writing in 1984. Between 1984 and 1994, six of her plays were produced in theatres in Montreal.

Among her works are the Governor General’s Award-winning La Visite des sauvages (Place des Arts, April 9, 1986); Conte d'hiver 70 (Théâtre d'Aujourd'hui, 1992, translated by John Van Burek as A Winter's Tale 70); La mémoire de Rhéa; and O'Neill (translated by Daniel Libman, same title).
